Support to Regional Development Agencies

Regional Development Agencies (RDA) in Serbia have recently become an important intermediary structure for the implementation of socio-economic projects going beyond boundaries of individual local municipality and rapidly becoming a significant player in supporting micro and small enterprises. RDAs in Serbia originate from donor-support programmes and SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) support centres set up between 2001 and 2010. Currently there are 11 RDAs with mission to deliver on socio-economic development at regional level and have for those purposes received considerable financial and technical support through the EU assistance programme.

Our team, comprised of international experts and development advisors, works in close cooperation with all the RDA offices as well as other partners across Serbia on building capacities through extensive training programme, specialized courses and study visits designed to develop and secure a sustainable and efficient regional development strategy.

As a part of institutional and expertise support to Regional Development Agencies, RSEDP2 has also produced 3 Technical Guidelines on Regional Strategy Formulation as well as other documents assisting the RDAs in their development process.
