This EU funded programme is an important initiative to support the increased competiteveness of the regions in Serbia. Firstly to  help generarate sustainable employment and to develop the capacity for the regional development of Serbia, aligned to European Best practices.

Objectives

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacities in Serbia for the design and implementation of a policy for balanced territorial socio-economic development aligned to EU accession requirements.

 

The Project Purpose is to improve the capacities of the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) and other regional and municipal stakeholders for regional development planning and implementation.

 

The following results will be achieved during the course of the project implementation: 

 

   1. Increased efficiency of RDAs in managing local development resources.

   2. Increased participation of RDAs in the national regional development

       policy planning and increased advocacy role of RDAs at national level.

   3. Improved skills of RDAs’ staff and other stakeholders in Project

       Cycle Management (PCM) and financial management;
