Belgrade, 14 and 15 July 2010: RSEDP 2 organized two workshops in support to 24 municipal economic partnerships from seven Serbian districts and their project ideas intended to be submitted for the RSEDP 2 second call for project applications ending on 10 September 2010.

The two days gathered some 120 representatives of 24 municipal partnerships, both decision-makers and project writers, who wished to hear about the possibilities offered under the technical assistance scheme of RSEDP 2 Programme as well as about the commitments needed from the municipal partnerships themselves.

The first day was devoted to general advice on writing successful project applications, whereas the second day focused on producing the first draft of the logical frameworks for the 24 inter-municipal project ideas.

“This is just the beginning of the process of supporting municipal economic partnerships in the seven districts that were initially not served by regional development agencies and thus ineligible for grant applications with RSEDP 2.  We are here to support these municipal partnerships in formulating project proposals for upcoming funding opportunities in the coming two years!” – stated Fred Millan, RSEDP 2 Advisor on this occasion.
